2 Clement
Chapter VI
But the Lord saith, No servant can serve two masters. If we desire to serve both God and mammon, it is unprofitable for us:
Λέγει δὲ ὁ κύριος: Οὐδεὶς οἰκέτης δύναται δυσὶ κυρίοις δουλεύειν. ἐὰν ἡμεῖς θέλωμεν καὶ θεῷ δουλεύειν καὶ μαμωνᾷ, ἀσύμφορον ἡμῖν ἐστίν.
For what advantage is it, if a man gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?
τί γὰρ τὸ ὄφελος, ἐάν τις τὸν κόσμον ὅλον κερδήσῃ, τὴν δὲ ψυχὴν ζημιωθῇ;
